Trane VAL9574 Thermal Expansion Valve(TXV) 8-Ton R410A

The Trane VAL9574 is a Thermal Expansion Valve designed for use in Trane brand HVAC applications R410A refrigerant and features an 8-ton capacity. The TXV or the metering device is used to control accurately the mass flow of the refrigerant around the circuit. This is achieved by measuring the temperature of the coolant leaving the evaporator coil to ensure it is at the appropriate low temperature so that optimum dehumidifying performance can be achieved at the air-handling unit. According to this temperature the TXV controls the degree of opening a valve such that the refrigerant allowed to flow into the evaporator is calculated.
