The Trane SWT03012 Limit Switch Manual Exposed is a temperature-controlled control that monitors the conditions in the system and alerts the control circuit when the temperature limits are reached. It operates by using an internal thermal sensing element which responds to the temperature of the surrounding environment and opens the 2-pole contact mechanism which opens at 48 F and closes at 160 F so the control circuit can react during operation in HVAC systems. The switch is mounted in the temperature sensing section where the exposed sensing surface detects the conditions of heat and electrical terminals are connected to the control wiring.
