The Trane SEN03368 Yellow Coil is a sensor that is used to monitor the temperature and provides feedback to the control circuit on the condition of the coil surface. It operates by means of a temperature sensitive element that is linked by a 43 inch lead wire, wherein a variation in coil temperature modifies the electrical signal to be sent to the system controller when the HVAC systems are in operation. The sensor is attached close to the evaporator or condenser coil where the sensing tip will touch or be close to the coil surface and the lead will be connected to the equipment control board.
