Detroit Radiant TP-222 Flame Sensor

The Detroit Radiant TP-222 is a flame sensor crucial for safe operation in gas-fired heating systems, particularly Detroit Radiant burners. It uses electrical signals to detect the presence of a flame. When a flame is present, the sensor conducts electricity due to ionization, sending a signal to the control board for continued operation. If no flame is detected, the sensor's high resistance (100 Megaohms) prevents a signal, triggering the control board to shut down the system and prevent potential gas leaks. This flame rod operates within a wide temperature range (-40°C to 85°C) and boasts high sensitivity (0.1 microamps), ensuring reliable flame detection for optimal safety and efficient burner operation.
