The Trane THT0680 is a Limit Switch designed and developed mainly for use in HVAC equipment. At 30 degrees Fahrenheit cold it operates as a switch to open circuits or breaks the circuit and closes them when the temperature goes up to 40 degrees Fahrenheit warm. This is mostly used to prevent the damaging of equipment for example preventing coils from operating at low temperatures. It adds to system durability and reliability by self-sensing the break on the circuit at low temperatures to minimize effects that might freeze the associated HVAC equipment.
