The Amtrol SX30V Floor Mount Expansion Tank is a pressure-balancing component used to absorb thermal expansion of the water in closed-loop HVAC systems. It operates with a pre-pressurized diaphragm, which isolates air and water so that expanded water may enter the tank via the 1-inch NPTF system connection and compress the air cushion when it is used in boilers and hydronic HVAC systems. It is mounted on the system piping as a floor-mounted expansion tank, on which the connection is made to the heating water circuit.
