Trane SWT04395 Thermal Switch

The Trane SWT04395 is a thermal switch used to prevent equipment used in HVAC systems from overheating. It operates on a simple principle: inside the switch, there is always a temperature sensitive component; it may be a bimetallic strip or a wax pellet. When the temperature around the switch rises to a certain level, then the element experiences a phase transition. It can result in opening or closing of electrical contacts, actuation of an alarm or turn off of the related equipment. This thermal switch is used in different HVAC systems like air conditioners, heat pumps, chillers, refrigeration units and so on. It is widely used for measuring temperature of essential parts such as compressor, motor and condenser etc.
