The Supco SSN2901 Gas Furnace Hot Surface Ignitor produces heat through electrical resistance to initiate burner combustion in heating equipment. When energized the ignitor reaches a high temperature that allows gas ignition at the burner assembly without an open flame source. It is shaped to fit within the ignition section & positioned close to the burner for effective heat transfer during startup.
