The Sporlan Controls 181511 Thermostatic Expansion Valve Power Element with a 5' capillary, model KT-43-VC, is used in to control the flow of refrigerant, based upon the condition of the evaporator HVAC systems. It detects changes in temperature by the remote bulb and the capillary, which varies the pressure in the expansion valve to ensure correct superheat.
