Trane SWT2848 Pressure Switch PSI -0.36/-0.46 Open -0.56 Close SPNO

The Trane SWT2848 is a pressure switch designed for use in the Trane HVAC system. This single pole, usually open switch monitors air pressure within ductwork or other pressurized areas to prevent unsafe and inefficient operation. The SWT2848 is different from other on/off switches in that it has a specific pressure setpoint range. The switch remains open, disconnecting the circuit, when the air pressure exceeds a typical range of about -0.36 to -0.46" of water gauge. But if the air pressure is below this setpoint usually -0.56 In-wg, the switch closes, and the current flows. The Trane switching mechanism allows the Trane to control a range of HVAC operations based on the application.
