The Spirax-Sarco 0683762 Thermo-Dynamic Steam Trap TD42L is used in steam and heating elements to eliminate condensate and non-condensable gases and keep the steam in the line in HVAC systems. It is applied to low points in the distribution of steam or heat exchange 3/4" NPT equipment and relies on the dynamic effect of the flow of steam to discharge condensate without allowing live steam to escape. It is designed to operate using piping, valves and control elements to ensure the flow of steam is maintained, and there is no accumulation of water.
