The Trane CNT1031 is a 0.24-pound automatic reset temperature limit switch for Trane HVAC systems. This is a critical safety component that prevents your equipment from overheating, and it’s a single-pole, double-throw switch that measures the temperature of the surrounding air. 1 The switch opens the electrical circuit rapidly if the temperature climbs above 150°F and power to the furnace or to the air handling unit, to guard against damage.
