The Supco SHL512 Limit Switch Auto Reset monitors temperature and changes its electrical state when the sensed temperature reaches its switching threshold. Its single-pole, single-throw contacts open at 170F and automatically close again at 150F, providing temperature-based circuit control in HVAC systems. Mounted at the equipment's temperature-sensing point, the switch responds directly to the surrounding heat condition. Once the temperature reaches the opening point, the contacts separate and interrupt the controlled circuit; as the temperature falls to the closing point, the automatic reset returns the contacts to their normal conducting state. This process provides consistent and reliable thermal switching during operation.
