The Trane SFCAP15440 is an Oval Run Capacitor, which is used to upgrade the Trane HVAC systems to offer better performance. This capacitor is 3.94” in length and is constructed from aluminum with quick-connect terminals for simple installation. Run capacitors assist single-phase AC motors used in the compressors by providing the initial kick start and stability. The element has a capacitance of 15 microfarads and dual voltage capabilities of 370V/440V making it ideal for use with Trane systems. It boasts an operating temperature range of -40 Degrees F to 158 Degrees F which makes it possible to work in most severities, it is compliant with EIA and UL standards.
