The Trane SEN00233 Flame sensor is a high performance suitable for use in gas fired HVAC systems. It uses the use of highly innovative technology that will enable the appliance to effectively and safely determine existence flame. This sensor operates based on the infrared radiation produced by the flame. When there is flame, it produces some wavelengths of infrared radiation that are sensed by the sensor in question. The sensor then reports to the control system that there is a flame and the system can continue running.
