The Resideo S8670E3003/B Ignition Module is an essential part of gas-fired HVAC systems. It is intended for pilot operation occasionally and effectively controls the igniting process with natural and liquid propane gas. The present module also has a pre-purge option to eradicate any remaining gasses in the fire chamber to enhance security before igniting. Some of the characteristics include; flames failure response time of 2 seconds which enable the shutdown of the system in case of a fault. The module is designed for use with VR8204 and VR8304 gas controllers and has a single rod flame sensor for better detection. It is designed sturdy and the machine can operate in a temperature range of -40°F to +175°F.
