The York S1-025-30209-700 Thermal Expansion Valve is a component designed to improve the operation of heating and cooling systems. This 5.5-ton capacity valve regulates the amount flow of refrigerant into the evaporator coil and is made to flow in a smooth manner, hence making the system perform well. The valve is 1/2” x 5/8” and includes a 60” capillary tube for accurate control of refrigerant. The sweat connection method and its strong metal body ensure the valve does not wobble and can easily be incorporated into HVAC systems. As a result, the circulation of the refrigerant is regulated by the thermal expansion valve instead to prevent coil freezing and inefficient cooling.
