The General Electric Products RF-1 Replacement Rayon Filter Cartridge is used to remove contaminants in fuel oil to the burner assembly in HVAC systems. It operates by using tightly packed rayon filter media, which captures dirt, rust particles, and sludge as fuel flows through the cartridge when operating in oil-fired furnace and boiler HVAC systems. It is installed in general oil filter models 1A-25A and 1A25-B, which are compatible and in which the cartridge fits in the filter housing and fuel flow path. This media prevent suspended material from getting into the fuel supply, constant combustion.
