Resideo R8246A1038 DPST Quiet Electric Heat Contactor

This Resideo R8246A1038 Quiet Electric Heat Contactor is used to control the electric current that passed to the heating elements in HVAC systems. When a heat request is sent to the thermostat, the contactor responds by closing the circuit, hence allowing electricity to flow to the heating elements. The contactor’s DPST configuration allows independent control of the high voltage and low voltage elements of the heating system. When the desired temperature is achieved, the thermostat activates by opening the contactor, cutting off electricity to the heating elements and improving control of warmth distribution.
