The Maxitrol R5310-48 Orange Spring is an alternate pressure regulator part that can be fitted in the RV53 and R600 series gas regulators in HVAC systems. It has a range of outlet pressure of 4-8 inches of water column and is about 3-1/8 inches long with an orange color code to be identified easily. It works by squeezing in the regulator assembly to adjust to the desired downstream gas pressure to maintain the regular and precise regulation of the gas flow. The procedure requires the spring to be placed within the regulator body.
