Trane VAL8610 Thermostatic Expansion Valve R22 3 Ton

The Trane VAL8610 is a Thermostatic Expansion Valve that is designed for the older heating and cooling systems that use R22 refrigerant which is hardly available today because of environmental reasons. It is 6” long, which is necessary to enhance the overall performance of a system. It can function as an automatic control of refrigerant flow into the evaporator where it varies depending on the temperature present. A thermal actuator ensures that the valve responds to temperature changes within the coil to ensure operation. Coil underfilling detracts from the cooling process. It has sweat connectors of 5/8 inch diameter and an operating pressure of 45 / 41 psi.
