The Amana-Goodman 0275P00019S PTAC Heat Assembly Kit is an electric heating unit that is used to add auxiliary heat in the packaged terminal air conditioner systems. It operates by heating with a resistive heating element that converts electrical energy into heat with a heating capacity of about 2.5 kW and operating on 230-volt power at a current of about 15 amps which allows the PTAC fan to push air across the heated element during operation in HVAC systems. The heater assembly is installed in the PTAC cabinet with the element facing the airflow with the electrical leads attached to the unit control circuit.
