International Comfort Products NASA00201FS Evaporator Freeze Thermostat is a safety device used to prevent coil freeze-ups in HVAC systems. It measures the temperature of the evaporator coil in air conditioning and heat pump equipment. When the coil temperature becomes very low, the thermostat shuts off the system to avoid freezing which is very harmful to the unit and decreases the efficiency of the system.
