The Mueller Industries AM15502 Pressure Relief Valve 3/8" NPTFE X 3/8" FLR 550 PSI protects refrigeration systems and pressure vessels from over pressurization. Installed into high-pressure refrigerant lines via its 3/8-inch NPTFE inlet and 3/8-inch flare outlet, the safety valve holds system pressure up to 550 PSI. If system pressure reaches above the set limit, an internal spring mechanism opens to vent high pressure vapor safely out of the circuit in HVAC systems. Safely discharging excess pressure minimizes component breakdown and maintains operational safety across high-pressure cooling and refrigeration cycles.
