The Trane MOT17040 is a electric motor of 3/4 horsepower designed strictly to cater for HVAC applications. It operates as a drive for other system components including the blowers or the condenser fans. Due to supply of electrical energy the motor rotates the shaft in such a way as to produce mechanical energy. This motor is of 208-230 volts single phase AC, with a frequency of 60 Hz and has a range of speeds from 1200 to 400 RPM. This motion is then passed to the other equipment which are connected for either air circulation or refrigerant with the HVAC system.
