Trane MOT17020 ECM Motor 1/2 HP 208-230/1 48 Frame

The Trane MOT17020 is a 1/2 horsepower ECM fan, which is intended to provide the better possible airflow within HVAC systems. This motor is approximately 16.8” in length and incorporates ball bearings to ensure low-noise operation. The 48-frame size allows compatibility with other Trane equipment. In contrast with the standard AC motors, the MOT17020 model employs ECM technology. This advanced design employs electronics to control the motor for variable speed operation at 60 Hz. Variable speed enables the motor to control the amount of air required by the system at any given time and is far more energy efficient than constant-speed motors.
