The Trane MOT14521 is an upgrade kit to the brushless DC (BLDC) motor of the existing Trane HVAC systems designed to enhance efficiency and durability of the product. AC motors in conventional HVAC systems have brushes that erode gradually and thus need replacement at some point in the future. Conversely, brushless DC motors do not make use of brushes; the use of electronics control to make use of magnets and turn the motor shaft.
