The Trane MAYHTR1A20BKRB is a heater assembly for use with electric heating applications having a maximum output of 20 kilowatts. It is also compatible with a single-phase, 60 Hz electrical system and it connects to a circuit breaker directly. The heater assembly is used in electric furnaces and air handlers and converts electrical current into heat by resistance heating elements. When electrical current passes through these elements, they heat up and heat the air flowing past the assembly. Trane is rated for use with voltages of 208 or 240 volts and measures 12.25" long, 15.5" high, and 9.44" wide. Electric heater assemblies offer the advantages of clean operation, precise temperature control, and efficient heating in areas that traditionally have not had access to natural gas.
