The Laars Heating Systems FT2128 Ignition Rod Assembly generates the ignition spark required to initiate combustion in compatible heating equipment. When energized by the ignition circuit, the rod electrode creates an electrical discharge across the burner ignition gap, initiating the fuel-air mixture in HVAC systems. Installed at the burner ignition position, the assembly maintains the electrode at the required position relative to the combustion zone. Its conductive rod and mounting components establish the electrical path from the ignition circuit to the spark point. This assembly provides controlled burner ignition during the equipment startup sequence.

Installation Steps
Step 1: Turn off the equipment and disconnect power and gas supply for safety.
Step 2: Remove access panels to reach the old ignition rod assembly.
Step 3: Carefully disconnect the wiring and mounting hardware from the old rod.
Step 4: Position the new ignition rod assembly in the same orientation.
Step 5: Secure mounting hardware and reconnect wiring per manufacturer instructions.
Step 6: Restore power and gas, then test ignition to confirm proper operation.
