The Kunkle Valve 0548-A01-KM0025 Air Relief Valve releases excess pressure in HVAC systems and compressed air piping setups. Threaded into fluid or gas lines using a 1/4-inch inlet, the valve contains an internal spring calibrated to open at 25 PSI. When internal line pressure exceeds the set threshold, pressure pushes the stainless steel ball seat open to discharge up to 43 SCFM of air through the outlet. Venting excess volume prevents over-pressurization, protects upstream pipe fittings and maintains system safety.
