The Carrier KSALA0301410 Low Ambient Pressure Switch Kit is equipment that is used in HVAC systems that are used in cold climates. It serves the purpose of a fan cycling control which regulates head pressure at low external temperatures. By sensing this pressure, the switch kit ensures that the condenser fan does not run for long during cold periods while at the same time, when head pressure reduces to a certain minimum level, the switch turns off the condenser fan. With the fan turned off, the condenser coil can bring the head pressure back up again. When the pressure gets to a certain cut-in point, the switch turns on the fan to maintain the better performance of the system.
