The Copeland KAMB-007E-CAV-800 is a Semi-Hermetic Compressor designed for residential and light commercial air conditioning and refrigeration systems. Unlike a reciprocating compressor with an external crankshaft, a semi-hermetic compressor has its motor enclosed within the refrigerant chamber. This design offers increased efficiency and reliability. The KAMB-007E-CAV-800 uses an electric motor to power a piston or scroll mechanism that compresses refrigerant gas.
