The Illinois 0036093 Angle Thermostatic Trap 3-GHAP is used to regulate the condensate discharge to eliminate condensate and non-condensable gases and avoid loss of steam, which is conducive to the effective operation of steam-based HVAC systems. It is a 3/4" angle connection designed and named as 3-GHAP and it has a thermostatic element, which reacts to temperature variations to open and close the valve when necessary. It works on the concept of releasing cooler condensate and retaining live steam in the system. It is placed at the end of steam lines or equipment.
