Tecumseh K90-59 Overload

The Tecumseh K90-59 Overload is a motor shield component used in HVAC systems and air conditioning compressors to ensure protection from high current flow and overheating. It detects the temperature of motor and electrical load and closes its circuit when the conditions are improper to cut the power to avoid damage. It is mounted in the electric circuit or relay socket of the compressor and connected in line with the start/run windings of the compressor. This overload assists in maintaining better operation of the compressor by minimizing current flow.
