Trane HTR16543 40-watt sump heater, which is designed to help Trane HVAC systems units prevent freezing in the drain pan. It is easily installed in the sump. In winter, water, which is produced as a result of the humid warm air cooling as it passes through the air conditioning system, can build up in the drain pan. This condensate can freeze and cause blockage in the drain lines and cause water damage in your home. This sump heater is a heating element with a diameter of 6.5” and uses 460V to warm the compound to avoid freezing. The 78” lead length is long enough to make a connection to the power source possible.
