The HTP 7250P-080 Pressure Relief Valve is a safety control unit that is used to relieve pressure that is in excess of the system piping. It operates by a spring-loaded internal valve which opens in response to an increase in system pressure and releases water via the 3/4-inch MNPT x FNPT threaded connection. The valve is placed on the boiler or pressure relief port where the threaded ends are attached directly to the system piping. Automatic pressure release avoids the accumulation of pressure in the heating circuit and assists in keeping the operating conditions safe and allows the stable operation of the system.
