Heatcraft Refrigeration 29318018 Solenoid Valve is an electrically operated valve that is used to control the flow of refrigerant in the piping system. It operates on a magnetic coil energized by 120/208/240-volt AC power at 50/60 Hz that forces an internal plunger to open the flow path through the 3/8-inch valve connection, when it is used in HVAC systems. The valve body will be installed in the liquid line where the piping connections are made to the refrigeration circuit and electrical leads are made to the system control wiring. Switching of the coil to energize or de-energize the refrigerant flow is used to assist in maintaining the system cycling, constant pressure control.
