Gates 5/B173 PowerBand V-Belt 176" OD

The Gates 5/B173 PowerBand V-Belt is used effectively in transmitting mechanical power between the pulleys in HVAC systems. It is made of reinforced rubber and polyester cords and is capable of dealing with an outer diameter of 176" and high tensile strength when under constant loading. The normal pulley diameters during installation are chosen so that the pulley can be aligned to avoid slippage or wear. It has heat and contact resistance and provides smooth and silent working with fan and blower performance that is energy efficient. It can be used in air handlers, rooftop units, and packaged HVAC systems.
