The Resideo FV180 Goldtop Universal Air Vent is a compact air vent designed to eliminate unwanted air pockets from hydronic heating systems. Made of durable brass and rated for a maximum pressure of 150 psi, it ensures reliable performance in demanding environments. The male NPT threads allow for secure connections to pipes and other system components. Air accumulation within hydronic systems can disrupt water circulation and hinder heating efficiency. The FV180 features a patented fulcrum design that automatically purges air at a rate exceeding most competitor vents by 3 to 4 times. As air gathers in the system, it rises and reaches the vent. A float mechanism within the vent triggers the valve to open, automatically releasing the trapped air and ensuring optimal water flow throughout the system.
