Supco IG405 Furnace Ignitor

The Supco IG405 Furnace Ignitor is a silicon carbide hot surface ignition component used to ignite gas burners in furnaces, boilers, water heaters, and similar heating equipment. It heats up when electrical current is applied and reaches ignition temperature to start combustion during system startup. It is connected to the control circuit through insulated lead wires that carry electrical flow to the ignitor element. Within HVAC systems, it is positioned in the burner assembly to support controlled ignition of gas-fired heating cycles in residential and light commercial applications where steady start-up of heating is required.
