Trane FLRQB5AH18M11 is a Dual Media Replacement Air Filter for Quikbox Replacements Filter housing [1]. These filters are mostly used in residential HVAC systems. They gather dirt, AC, and other irritants from the air which make conditions such as bronchial asthma and allergies worse. Being a MERV 11 unit, The Trane is capable of removing up to 85% of particles with sizes 1.0 – 3.0 microns .Even thought an aluminum media type is described in the present requirements, the absolute majority of publications [1, 3, 5]points to a synthetic fiber media. The Trane 1 can remove over 100 times more particles than single-use 1” filters, making it over 25x more effective at trapping allergens.
