The Carrier LH33WZ017 Flame-Sensor is a vital component in furnace systems. The sensor is a 90 degree bend making it easy to install into your furnace. The flame sensor picks up the heat from time the furnace lights then sends a signal to the control board. If this signal it confirms proper ignition, the furnace will be permitted to keep operating. Without a flame the sensor won't send a signal driving the control board to close down the gas supply to prevent a potentially dangerous gas leak.
