The Trane EXC1293 is a high mass heat exchanger for high performance Trane furnaces or industrial heating applications. This apparatus is a large industrial heat exchanger that is 81 inches long. Because of its dimensions and mass, it is advisable that the product is installed by professionals. This works in a way that heat is exchanged between two different fluid streams but they do not intermingle. Combustion gases from the furnace are conducted through internal tubes in the exchanger. At the same time, cooler air flows around these tubes, and takes heat from the hot gases in the process.
