Copeland ERFA-031E-TAD-800 Semi-Hermetic Compressor 35200 BTU, R-22, 460V/3PH

The Copeland ERFA-031E-TAD-800 is a compact semi-hermetic compressor that is intended for use in large commercial refrigeration systems. Unlike reciprocating compressors with pistons, the compressor uses a design based on the scroll. The refrigerant vapor gets compressed by two interleaved spiral scrolls making its pressure and temperature increase. The hot, high-pressure gas is then conveyed into the rest of the refrigeration system where it gives up heat to the environment around it. The low-pressure refrigerant that has been cooled returns back to the compressor completing the cycle. It has a mighty option with an upper limit of 35,200 BTU for cooling capacity. Such types of compressors are suitable for heavy-duty usage where much heat needs to be removed such as in industrial freezers, supermarket walk-in coolers, and large air conditioners.
