The Eclipse 11941 Ignitor Flame Rod 1/2 Inch NPT finds application in burner assemblies to provide ignition and flame presence detection to facilitate combustion in HVAC systems during heating operation. It works by creating a spark to ignite fuel and then sensing flame by ionization to enable the control system to verify correct burner operation or to shut down in case no flame is detected. The rod can be threaded into the burner housing and this is aligned to the combustion zone so as to perform effectively.
