The Auburn E5-FRS-2-6 6" flame rod is used in HVAC systems with gas-fired appliances such as furnaces. This flame sensor works through a method known as flame rectification, it produces a low current of electricity when it is in contact with the flame. If flame is not detected a signal is sent to control board and reducing leakage and increasing safety. The rod comes with a 1/2 inch NPT mounting size to fit different installations. This includes increased safety, consistent performance and longer equipment durability due to prevention of the buildup of unburned gases. With proper care it can improve up the level of performance as well as longevity can also be increased.
