Trane DIA0068 Damper Actuator Diaphragm

The Trane DIA0068 is a Diaphragm meant for Trane damper actuators. They are 5.2” long, 4.8” wide, and 3.45” high and are used for controlling the airflow in Trane HVAC systems. It is located in the damper actuator, a device that regulates dampers, they are like on/off switches for airflow within the system. When the actuator is activated electric signal, it pumps air into the diaphragm making it either large or small. These expansions and contractions are as simple as opening or closing the damper to control the airflow in Trane HVAC systems. A defective diaphragm may cause unequal distribution of air, which may cause unequal heating or cooling of the rooms.
