The Danfoss 067N6409 Thermostatic Expansion Valve (TXV) TGE regulates liquid refrigerant metering into evaporator coils in commercial refrigeration and air conditioning systems. Installed in the liquid line via 3/8-inch inlet and 5/8-inch outlet ODF sweat connections, it uses a 59-inch capillary tube attached to a remote sensing bulb for thermal feedback. Temperature changes at the bulb actuate an internal power element to shift the valve needle corresponding to the seat, adjusting refrigerant flow into the coil. Modulating refrigerant expansion maintains proper superheat levels, controls liquid feed rates, and supports steady thermal transfer across changing cooling loads.
