The Copeland Comfort Control (Alco) 048219 Filter Drier is a refrigerant line component designed to remove moisture, acids, and fine particles from the circulating refrigerant stream. It has a 3/8 inch SAE connection size to fit into the liquid line of the system. The desiccant material inside the filter dries out the air that remains in the filter after installation and the filter element removes particles that could be harmful to the refrigerant's flow.
