The Rheem-Ruud RXGY-CK High Altitude Conversion Kit is a small kit that helps Rheem and Ruud water heaters to work effectively in the areas with high altitude. This small but vital part is only 8. 25” which is designed to cope with the problems of low pressure at higher altitudes. The combustion process of the water heater is adjusted by the kit to increase efficiency and safety where the altitude is above 2,000 ft ASL. This is essentialsince the density of air reduces with altitude and this may have an impact on the efficiency of burning of fuel by the appliance.
